To make an analogy, gender differences are like cultural differences. An example of a gender difference given in this episode was men’s talking being more blunt and straightforward rather than indirect, but this is also a cultural difference between for instance, Americans and Japanese.
But, just like some people might not identify with, or care much about the expectations or stereotypes of the country they are born into, the same goes for gender.
